East Coast Glamping and Surfing for Wanderlusters

surf_galsIf you fancy a little surfing adventure, Lawrencetown Beach in Nova Scotia is the perfect surf oasis to point your compass.

Whether you’re new to surfing or new to camping, why not ride a wave out of your comfort zone, embracing your inner Glamper with a Learn To Surf lesson from the pro’s at East Coast Surf School at Lawrencetown Beach.

We did, lived to tell the tale….and ‘checked’ an almighty  Summer 2016 bucket list wish.

We hooked up with EC Surf School co-owner Nico Manos and instructor Sylvie to suit up with all the gear: full wet suits and surf board and took the short stroll across the boardwalk to pebble beach.

At low tide there was plenty of sandy surf to brace our many falls and laughter.  The water was warm and the waves forgiving.  A family highlight of our summer so far!

After our 1 hour lesson, we were free to enjoy the gear and spend the day practising our new skills.  Some of us…I’ll not mention names…had a little more stamina than others.

Want to add Glamping to it, Lawrencetown beach is accessible from our Resort Glamping location (about 1 hr. 15 mins. drive); or you can book an East Coast Glamping Wanderlust Gear Rental Kit to DIY your holiday; or book a  Campground Glamping Package and head to Shubie Park Campground (20 mins. from Lawrencetown Beach) or Porter’s Lake Provincial Park (about 5-10 mins away).

ECG’s new Wanderlust Kit is a streamlined camping kit complete with DIY instructions for an awesome-cool Camouflage safari-style canvas tent, cookware, lights, rugs and self-inflating camp mats and LLBean summer fleece sleep bedding.  All the gear from $120 per night, Min. 2 night rental, based on double occupancy.

Happy Glamping! Team ECG
